Bill Burr is an American comedian or a comedian from the North American Union, depending on when you read this. He grew up outside of Boston, Massachusetts and did fairly poorly in school, despite the fact that he applied himself. Having first gained notoriety for his recurring role on the second season of Chappelle’s Show, Bill developed a comedic style of uninformed logic that has made him a regular with Letterman, Conan O’Brien and Jimmy Fallon. On October 1, Bill released his third hour special, You People Are All The Same, for download exclusively through his website. The special is also available on Netflix in the U.S., Canada, Ireland and the U.K. Bill is currently filming Walk of Shame with Elizabeth Banks; he will be seen in the Al Pacino and Christopher Walken film, Stand Up Guys, premiering February1, and the Paul Feig film, The Heat, starring Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy premiering April 5. Bill was seen again last summer in his recurring role as “Kuby” on the hit AMC-TV show, Breaking Bad, and he contributed to the 2012 and 2011 ESPYS. One of the most popular comedy podcasts on the web, Bill’s Monday Morning Podcast, is an off-the-cuff weekly rant that has become a fan favorite. Bill began the podcast in May of 2007 and has produced over 250 episodes. On October 9, Simon & Schuster released the book, Cheat, written by Bill and fellow comedians Joe DeRosa and Robert Kelly. The book was inspired by the short film, Cheat, which Burr, DeRosa and Kelly produced, co-wrote and star in. The film, based on a true story, had its World Premiere at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival and screened at the 2011 Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. On November 11, 2011, Bill received a standing ovation for his sold out show at Carnegie Hall and the following night he received the prestigious Comedian of the Year Award from the Boston Comedy Festival; previous recipients include Steven Wright, Denis Leary and Lewis Black. Bill is selling out theaters internationally with his second theater tour of Europe playing to standing ovations and rave reviews in London, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Stockholm. Bill’s second hour Comedy Central special, Bill Burr: Let It Go, premiered on September 19, 2010 to rave reviews and was released on DVD and as a digital audio download. The unedited version of the special is now available on Netflix. The special was recorded in December 2009 at The Fillmore in San Francisco and captures the comic at the peak of his skills. Bill can be seen in the Steve Carell & Tina Fey feature, Date Night, and his first hour special, Why Do I Do This?, premiered on Comedy Central in the fall of 2008 to rave reviews and is now available on Netflix, CD and DVD. In the near future Bill hopes to get married and have some kids. But until then, he will continue to spend most of his mid-afternoons sitting in his sweatpants learning AC/DC songs on his SG. Bill is against organized religion and believes we should go back to the gold standard for our currency. None of his opinions are based on any sort of reliable information. He tends to go with his first thought, because reading makes him sleepy. For more information go to www.BillBurr.com. Follow Bill on Twitter - @BillBurr
